The Big Bang Theory is running 5 seasons and every episode name always starts with The and the name of some theory, experiment or scientific principle. Its humor is very specific in some cases and requires more than primary school knowledge. Why we like this group of Cal-Tech physicist that are actually socially dysfunctional geniuses Leonard (Johnny Galecki), Sheldon (Jim Parsons) as roommates and their work colleagues Howard Wolowitz (Simon Helberg) and Raj Koothrappali (Kunal Nayyar)? Is this because we hope that it is probable that such guys can attract their pretty, blonde neighbor? How realistic is that such 4 guys, passionate lovers of science fiction, having abstract theoretical discussions all the time and in some cases unable to talk to women, can normally coexist with blonde waitress Penny (Kaley Couco) with not so high IQ or affinity for quantum physics? Not so much in real world. But TV series where actually honesty, friendship, loyalty and staying true are main points are so refreshing in the new era of Gossip Girls and similar junk. Anyway, the terms like geek and nerd forever changed true meaning for me after The Big Bang Theory and somehow become terms for appreciation of someones intelligence.
